Male-Female ratio hits 4:1

We added another member to the household today. His mommy was taken in by a colleague back in January, and turns out she was 'expecting' . . . he was born on Good Friday, and they had to take her in for an emergency C-section. We're still working on a name.

Behold!

Note that he is trying very hard to strike an appropriately cat-like pose.

Grey, with black stripes, white socks, a white tip on his tail, and a white mask & belly. Not sure whether or not the belly is undeservedly white. We've noticed that he tends to 'prance' when he runs. But he's fast!

Sidney actually welcomed him in with interest, albeit a little bit nervously. The nose-touching went well. . .

But Sidney still has to show the newcomer who's boss. . . a few bats to the head seem to be in order. The little one is absolutely unafraid.

The Little Boy is thrilled.

We're thinking of names. . . please let us know if you have any ideas.

I'll bet that more pictures are forthcoming.

OMG!!! He's absolutely ADORABLE!!!

And it's a good thing Sid is so friendly (despite having to be Big Brother and Alpha Cat as appropriate). In those photos, he looks like he could eat Little Cat for breakfast quite comfortably.

Okay, and can I just say how jealous I am? In the best way possible, of course.

Having a brother with such a weighty namesake, LC needs something correspondingly appropriate. Don't let the Buzzard talk you into anything silly!

By the time we get there, I guess there will be definite indications as to whether or not he deserves his white fur or not. ;)

Sidney is still working on showing him who is boss. He has been on top of the table batting at the little fur ball who was on the chair beneath him. Sidney is also walking around the house making "I'm interested in playing" noises. He even caught little one's eye and ran out of the room. I think it was an attempt to get little one to chase him. It failed but it was an attempt.

Silly little cat. He clearly needs to learn how to play cat games.

I can imagine how much cat-watching is going on in your house right now. :)
