Glad I've Already Got the Job

. . . because let me tell you, I wouldn't earn it based on my lastest performances.  I'm dying out there.

It's like J. J. Redick in the Sweet Sixteen Round of the NCAA Tournament.  It's like GM or Ford trying to produce a reliable automobile.  It's like a humanities Ph.D. trying to make money.

Four class sessions into the week, and I'm probably not quite batting my weight!

Funny, if the pain wasn't so familiar. To what do you attribute this latest round of instructional bathos?

Fatigue. Mental, physical, emotional fatigue. Students are tired, I'm tired, I've been stuck with some sucky classrooms.

And let's face it, I'm new at teaching this kind of load. I have been well overdue for a trip up or two, or three.

Get up here, then. Weather's looking good, finally; when's your next break?

A cold six of Two Hearted Ale awaits.

Wait a minute -- don't we owe you guys a visit?

All I can say is that I know how fatigue can beat on you, and I feel for you, bro. How long until the end of term?
